How-To: Washi Tape Wooden Pendants

If you follow my blogging on Metro Parent’s Make It (I hope you do!), you’ll see that this week’s project is a last-minute Mother’s Day gift – washi tape button brooches. You know – make a cute button for mom who’s cute as a button!

With the basis of this tutorial (check out Make It for the application how-to, linked above) you can turn the washi tape wooden disc into a variety of accessories, from magnets to pins. If you’re looking for a last-minute gift for mom or ANY special pal in your life, take your washi tape disc and turn it into a pendant.

Once you’ve created your washi tape disc (my favorite washi tape, used here, comes from MT Masking Tape) and let your preferred Mod Podge coating dry on the front and back, add a bail to the back. Add your recipient’s favorite type of chain to the pendant, package and deliver! Voila!
