::Sadly, Paturday is not a word… We’ll have to go with Saturday…::
A few weeks back I was selected to host a House Party Paper Pumpkin Party via Stampin’ Up. I’ve hosted a few House Parties in the past, but this one is by far the one that makes the most sense for me to host – it’s all about crafting!
What is Paper Pumpkin? It’s a monthly subscription service from Stampin’ Up. Your monthly shipment comes with all the goodies to make a paper-crafting project. For around $19.95 you can try your hand at some new techniques using Stampin’ Up’s products. They’re smart to have a subscription offer with their products – it’s definitely the right time for it!
Last week the party supplies arrived and I was very excited. Each guest this weekend will be receiving a sample of what a monthly kit might look like, including the pre-scored cards, envelopes, a small inking pad, three stamps, and card accessories. This card kit comes with enough goodies to make four cards. Is the price right on? Each card is worth roughly $5 each, which is a fine price in my opinion, especially for something handmade.
As I’m getting ready for the party I put together my samples, taking some liberty in the assembly process (yes, I made one per the example, for heaven’s sake!). It didn’t take long to create at all.
As hostess of the party I received some extra googies to show off to my soon-to-be guests. I’ll be making some more paper-themed treats to share with them, but as you can see in the photo above, I’ve got some fun craft supplies to play with.
Having spent some time with the kits, I’m really impressed with the cling-stamp system. I didn’t expect the stamps to keep their hold and stamp as well as they do. I can’t say that about a lot of brands, so I’ll definitely be placing a Stampin’ Up order soon.
I’ll be back with a roundup of the party and what kind of crafty items my guests came up with.
